For some women the concern of whether or not they will develop breast cancer is not even on their radar. However, most of us can say we’ve been touched by breast cancer in some way. Many women have had a close family member or friend with the disease. Some women have decided to get genetic testing done and found they have a gene that puts them at a higher risk. And then there are the women who have actually had breast cancer themselves.
If you are like me, and fall into one of these groups, you are probably wondering what you can do to fight breast cancer. There are many things that affect our risk. Some things are in our control, others are not. One of the most important things you can do is nourish your body with healthy foods. Luckily, this is one factor within our control. I know there is a lot of confusing information out there about what is considered a healthy diet. You should know that it is even difficult at times for health care professionals to sort out this information. One of my goals is to help eliminate this confusion so we can all focus on being healthy. By following this blog regularly, you will get the tools you need to start following a healthy diet and as a result feel empowered about your health.
